Numerical computing tools are used to solve complex engineering problems in the field of fluid simulations, electromagnetics and thermal analysis. However developing good solvers is computationally expensive. By using Ubuntu on WSL, developers can share the same code for local testing as they use for cluster deployment, increasing efficiency and iteration time.
In this video Ubuntu WSL engineer Eduard Gómez Escandell shares how to benefit from this workflow with an example project available on his github: https://github.com/EduardGomezEscandell/mpi-wrapper-cxx
