This demo illustrates how easy it is to use MySQL HeatWave Lakehouse on AWS to analyze queries in real time and perform machine learning operations on hundreds of terabytes of data from object store, the database, or both. Data from different sources is loaded into a HeatWave cluster—from an Aurora database export, from files stored in S3 and from a MySQL OLTP database.
Real-time analytics: You’ll see the efficiency impact of HeatWave’s Autopilot capabilities firsthand, including auto schema inference, auto provisioning, and autoload functionalities.
Machine learning: Watch how simple it is to create a model, run predictions, run explanations, and perform ‘what-if’ analysis on object store files in S3.
With the announcement of MySQL HeatWave Lakehouse on AWS at Oracle CloudWorld 2023, AWS customers can now run transaction processing, real-time analytics across data warehouses and data lakes, and machine learning in one cloud database service. Replace five AWS services with one, reducing complexity and obtaining the best price-performance in the industry for analytics.
With MySQL HeatWave Lakehouse, AWS customers can query hundreds of terabytes of data in Amazon S3 object storage in a variety of file formats including CSV, Parquet, Avro, and export from other databases without copying the S3 data to the database. Customers can continue to run applications on AWS with no changes and without incurring AWS data egress fees. Customers can also run automated machine learning (AutoML) on HeatWave Lakehouse, providing the ability to easily train machine learning models, run inference and explanations on files stored in S3, and more, directly from the interactive MySQL HeatWave console.
