Microsoft Intune classifies a user’s device as compliant or registered according to its policy configuration. When a user logs into Citrix Workspace, the device posture can be verified with Microsoft Intune to determine the status of the user’s device. This information is then used to categorize devices within Citrix Cloud as compliant, non-compliant (with partial access), or to deny access to the user login page.
Subsequently, services like Citrix DaaS and Citrix Secure Private Access utilize the device posture’s device classification. This classification is essential for providing contextual access, known as Smart Access, to virtual apps and desktops. It also extends to SaaS and web apps, allowing for precise control and access based on the device’s compliance status.
