A session that will cover all of the findings from one of the industry’s largest global surveys on open source software. Everything is covered, from the most widely used open source by organizations to the support challenges and expertise required to work with open source technologies. Frameworks, DevOps tooling, data technologies, cloud-native, and more. An informative session on the latest trends in open source software and how organizations are strategically utilizing it, including their maturity levels from contributors to Innersource projects and OSPOs. The 2023 State of Open Source Survey is a vendor-neutral and unbiased survey developed in collaboration with the Open Source Initiative (OSI) about the use of community open source in organizations across industries and geographies. Note: Continuation of previous presentation at FOSS Backstage in March 2023. This time is going to be different slides with a focus on use cases and lessons learned. While some of the information will include the same results of the survey, the presentation will have a very different approach with different introductory slides and more focus on lessons and open source maturity in organizations.
