This video showcases how Azure Backup customers can optimize and save costs. Based on usage projections leverage Reserved Capacity Pricing which lowers costs compared to pay-as-you-go rates. To automatically move Long Term Retention (LTR) backup data to Vault-Archive tier, enable Smart Tiering. Choose to backup only selected disks, utilize different storage for dev/test environments, and clean up inactive or deleted data sources. Use the right policy for workloads too—Azure Backup automatically stiches together the full, differential/incremental and log backups to provide data for a specific point in time. For database backups, opt to have weekly full backups instead of daily full backups to reduce backup costs significantly.
