Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program helps rural communities acquire the technology and training necessary to connect educational and medical professionals with students, teachers, and patients in rural areas via interactive telecommunications (distance learning or telemedicine) connections. Applicants must serve rural communities of less than 20,000 residents. Exception: Hub locations – those providing content and/or services to the rural end-user locations do not need to be rural.
Priority is given to projects that include extremely rural less than 5000 residents and high-poverty locations.
